Investigators seized more than 10 pounds of cocaine, over 200 grams of fentanyl, 30 grams of heroin, seven firearms, $75,000 in cash, and 26 vehicles during searches of the Supreme Automotive dealership in New Britain and locations linked to those arrested, said the United States District Attorney for Connecticut.
The investigation, led by the FBI’s Northern Connecticut Gang Task Force and New Britain Police, used wiretaps, surveillance, and undercover drug buys to gather evidence against the group, beginning in February, the prosecutor said.
According to court documents, Wilfredo Ortiz and Michael Luisi led the operation allegedly operating out of the 494 Main St. dealership.
“These arrests are a significant step in disrupting a dangerous drug pipeline impacting our communities,” the prosecutor said, underscoring that the charges carry a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
